Now the United Marxist Leninists leaders too have indirectly begun blaming India for the deadlock in the prime ministerial elections.
The UML communists' leaders are taken as friendlier to India than the Maoists, comparatively speaking.
The UML Party General Secretary, Ishwar Pokharel, while addressing a program in Bhaktapur, October 9, 2010, hinted that unless the foreign power (India implied) remains assured that the Prime Minister of its likening is guaranteed in Nepal, the prime ministerial election will continue umpteen times.
Though Pokharel did not directly pointed figures at India for the current deadlock he, however, repeatedly referred to the 'foreign force' in his speech.
Mr. Pokharel also warned against the rise of reactionary forces.
"It is the sheer failure of political parties that has enabled the reactionaries to raise their heads", said Pokharel.
To recall, Mr. Pokhrel, some years back was manhandled by the Indian security forces at the Indira Gandhi international airport while he was returning to Kathmandu.
Pokhrel, later upon his return to Kathmandu, managed to burn the effigy of then Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee right here in Kathmandu's Ratnapark..
The insult factor perhaps.
