Nepal is a landlocked nation. It borders China in the north and India in the south. Defending its sovereign identity from these two giant nations is Nepal’s nationalistic strategy.
The unfortunate fact is that a majority of our political leaders are Indian agents. It is worthless to expect from these leaders to save our nationality and independence. Unless the traitors and corrupt leaders dominating the big parties (Congress, UML, and Maoists) are chased away, democracy and nationalism will not be secured.
There is no alternative to parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarchy in Nepal. But it does not mean that we follow Indian orders and perish Nepal’s identity. The definition of Nepal’s nationality is to maintain balanced bilateral diplomatic ties with both countries, China and India, based on democracy and by protecting its pride.
Cordial people to people level relations between Nepal and India has existed since ancient times. We have to keep friendly relations with India due to our similar cultural and religious traditions. But sadly Indian congress, ever since coming to power has been striving to destabilize Nepal. India, through its intelligence agency ‘RAW’, has been found continuously involved in destabilizing our national identities – royal institution, Hindu Kingdom and national language, which were developed along with the ideology of national unity, security and national identity. RAW through its agents in the Nepali Congress, UML and Maoist parties is now pressing for autonomous federal states on communal basis.
Due to the open border, India has been masterminding various strategies to keep Nepal under her influence. Due to her continuous interventions her assistance and supports have turned into a curse. 58 years ago, in name of helping Nepal in establishing democracy she endorsed an unequal treaty in July, 1950. They urged the then rulers, Ranas, were promising them of the continued support for their regime. Four months later, she planned King Tribhuvan’s escape to New Delhi and kept Nepal under the influence of India through another document – the Delhi Agreement. Some of the points in the agreement were endorsed without the knowledge of the King. In accordance to the agreement Nepali Army personnel were stationed at the gate of the Royal Palace and India’s Panjabi army personnel were stationed inside the palace for the security of the King. Indian national Govindanarayan Singh was assigned as the chief secretary to the King. Another Indian national Murdeshwor was appointed the chief secretary of the council of ministers. Another Indian Angkor was appointed as Nepal’s legal advisor and Indian general Sharadanandan Singh was kept at Nepal Army’s headquarters. In name of reforming the army the number of soldiers was reduced to 8000 from 18000. In the name of security of Nepal, Indian army check-post was established inside Nepal which was located in the northern border. Nationalist forces moved against Indian intervention. But the intervention continued unabated.
Patriotic King Mahendra in course of enhancing nationality asked the Indian forces to leave without any condition in 1969. India could not oppose the request as Nepal had already established ties with China and various nations around the globe by the time. In 1988 India initiated economic blockade on Nepal causing much suffering to the people. In the meantime, India reached out power hungry and demoralized political leaders to initiate uprising in Nepal. Indians had tried to threaten the then King Birendra through the India sponsored uprising and bring him under the Indian grip. The Indian design was to control Nepal’s foreign policy and security. But it failed. In 2006 India had again made an effort to trick King Gyanendra into suppressing the uprising by giving various assurances. But the King did not vow into Indian urges. How can the Nepali people residing in the country and abroad tolerate this? Americans and representatives from the United Nation also were involved in the Indian conspiracies against Nepal. When India found it was impossible to bring the Nepali King under her grip, she attempted to remove the 260 year old historical institution of monarchy. Americans and the UN representatives contributed the Indian design to become success.
Presently, India is trying to disintegrate Nepal by separating Tarai as ‘Madhes state’ and power hungry leaders in the Nepali Congress, UML, Maoist and Tarai are serving the vested Indian interests. However, in the long run, the Indian plan is going to be counterproductive for India itself. If India has thought about disintegrating Nepal, then, this plan could be very costly for India. The Indian Congress should not forget that due to RAW’s naked conspiracy angry Panjabi and Sri Lankan people killed Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. Why were Indian agents and Mujibar Rahaman (who was made the Bangladeshi president by ‘RAW’ after creation of Bangladesh by separating Pakistan in 1975) killed? The Indian Congress should also not forget the act of nationalist Bengalese against the disgusting conspiracy by ‘RAW’. Nepali living abroad and in the country will not keep on tolerating the continued intervention. As per Indian agenda to destroy Nepal, the Constituent Assembly elections were conducted for 601 members. Some Indians are active to disintegrate Nepal by igniting anti-nationalist agendas as republic, secularism, federalism and caste-based ethnic autonomy through pro-Indian elements in CA.
The Shah Kings always fought with imperialist forces to protect modern Nepal. They have still not vowed before the foreigners. Nepal’s royal institution is the backbone of nationality. King Gyanendra has taught a lesson by renouncing the Narayanhiti Royal Palace. But without monarchy, it will be the Herculean attempt to secure Nepalese unity and sovereignty. So, it is the duty of the nationalists within the political parties and all the Nepali people to maintain Nepal’s pride by establishing royal institution for generations to come. Nepali people will bleed for the constitutional monarchy.
The myopic Indian policy of using Maoists in Nepal has played havoc in Nepal and also creating problems to India. Can Indian leaders and America & UN’s diplomats answer the result? It was a great blunder of some members of Govt. of India, Indian ambassadors, leftist political leaders, RAW and other officials who not only blundered in their assessment of Maoist but also did much harm to Indian’s interests in Nepal. Can a foreign government send an envoy to its neighbor to discuss internal matters? There needs to be a debate over this question and has to be explained. Nepalese Maoists, RIM and COMPOSA have been joining the hands for one-party anarchist-Communist rule. It may be truth, the Nepalese and Indian Maoists have kept the good relation with mutual army training, save side and to attack the common people. The Indian activities are just like a poisonous wine in a new bottle. Without analyzing the assumption, why the Indian leaders supported the Nepalese Maoist’s hypocrisy? A study of the history of communism and communists tells us that they are still obsessed with murder, violence and revenge against the nationality, unity and democracy.
A prominent journalist Pushpa Raj Pradhan, editor-People’s Review, writes- ‘Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is spending 57 billion rupees per years under the ‘ Small Grant Project’. Out of total FM radios, 50 percent of them are receiving such Indians grants. Similarly, some Christian missions have also funded those FM radios just broadcast Christian programmed. India wants the Indianization of Nepal and the Christians want to transform Nepal from a Hindu state to a Christian state. A famous researcher, Yogi Narahari Nath always used to say that Nepal is giving everything to India, from its fresh air to herbs, fresh water, indigenous production working manpower, etc and Nepal is getting nothing from India. The Indian wish is to bring all the political parties in the Indian fold. The Indian mission was fulfilled by some so-called big parties plus Maoists alliance with the direct support of India-from human resources to financial resources. Christians too became successful to declare Nepal a secular state.’-5 Aug.2010. It is a matter of grief that the political leaders are not feeling the naked foreign intervention.’ So, it is very necessary that all the nationalists including King should stand to save the identity and sovereignty of this pious land- NEPAL.
‘India is planning for a long-term strategy of the Bhutanization and later the Sikkimization of Nepal. In the international sectors also, India is decimating the message that Nepal is an India protected state just like Bhutan. India is lobbying in the international community for recognizing Nepal as an India protected state. It was a long-term plan of India to bring Nepal under her security umbrella. The 1989 movement was the result of Nepal’s denial to stay under the Indian security umbrella. At that time, an agreement between the King Birendra and the agitating political parties saved Nepal from being an India protected state. Nevertheless, by manipulating the political leaders, India destroyed one after another institution safeguarding Nepal’s sovereignty and independence.’ Infact people of Nepal are basically patriotic and they don’t like the agents of India.
Similarly, a prominent Nepali scholar Yuba Nath Lamsal writes-’India’s long held design is to bring Nepal under its security ambit like that of Bhutan. New Delhi’s long term security goal is to bring Nepal and Bhutan under its control. The South Block and India’s external intelligence Agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), often plant fabricated stories in the Indian media to tarnish the image the image of Nepal in the international community as an unsuccessful country. India is seeking a pretext for military intervention in Nepal. In Nepal, India’s three strategies are at work simultaneously. The first is to adopt the Fiji process that within a few years’ people of Indian origin would outnumber the original Nepali people and Indians control the Nepalese politics. The second strategy is the process of Bhutanization through which India wants to control Nepal’s security and foreign policy. The third strategy is to annex Nepal by trick and force as it did in Sikkim in 1975.’ (5th Nov.2010, The weekly Mirror) The Parties and leaders (Congress, UML, Maoist) are primary responsible for the present sorry state of the country.
India should remember the proverb-’When you do evil to others, the evil comes back at you.’ That has been proven right that 12 points agreements against Nepal-2005 are becoming the suicidal game for India. Indian leaders and Govt. should understand-India, world’s second most populous country in this world, is now the world’s most corrupt country. For a country like India, where 30 Crore people go to bed with out having dinner, then why Indians are exploiting Nepal? If Nepal remains a republic, as it lies between two boulders-China and India-it will not remain secure. In the absence of the royal institution Nepal could as well break into pieces. If Nepal continues to exist, it will not be democracy that would be established through communism. China will come forward for communism in Nepal. It is so because it is China’s compulsion. If China does not communizes Nepal the foreigners will be subjected to the danger of foreign conspiracy of eternity.
An Indian scholar Dr. Arvind Gupta writes- Anti-India feeling in Nepal is at its peak. The peace process in Nepal is extremely complicated. India helped bring about the 12-point agreement. It is doubtful that India can help bring the peace process to the desired outcome. There is no guarantee that the Constitution will be drafted soon and that even if drafted, it will bring stability. Nepalese are suspicious of India when they hear Indians talk about cooperation on water issues. Many in Nepal feel that mega projects will not help Nepal. The unregulated, open India-Nepal border is a major security concern for both countries. Cross-border crime, smuggling, fake currency and infiltration of undesirable elements including potential terrorists into India are a major security concern. Nepal also has concerns regarding the smuggling of small arms from the Indian side into Nepal.’ August 27, 2010 ‘INDIA NEEDS A NEW PARADIGM IN ITS NEPAL POLICY’
Indian leaders should understand theirs status before 1947. They should remember-’Jaana Gaana Maana Adhinayaka Jayahe Bharat Bhagya Bidhata….’ This welcome song had written by Rabindranath Tagor on the aspicious visit of UK’s Emporor George V. Then, after the independence of India-1947, that song became the national anthem of India. Can you imagine- till now, the Indian mantality is being captured by the British impereialism. The British Emporor George V travelled to India with the queen at 1911, the King and Queen travelled to Delhi Darbar where George wore the newly-created Imperial Crown of India at the ceremony and declared the shifting of the capital of India from Calcutta to Delhi. On 15 December, he laid the foundation stone of New Delhi with Queen Mary. They travelled throughout Nepal in the invitation of Chandra Shamshre, PM of Nepal, and George took the opportunity to indulge in hunting tigers, shooting at Nepalese Tarai- Southern part of Nepal.
Another Indian analyst, Vikram Singn writes-’our country (India) has imposed on Nepal regional hegemony and colonialism copied on Nepal regional hegemony and colonialism copied from the British. It is a shame to our democracy. We are a nuclear power but our thoughts are colonialist. We are the largest democracy in the world but we do not allow Nepal and other South Asian neighbors to make their own political decisions. All Indians must abandon this negative character. (29-Sep-200, Indian Express)
The introduction of ‘Loktantra 2005′ was the major achievement of India to make her presence really felt in Nepali politics. At the same time, India has been able to influence the political leaders and hold the key of Nepali politics; however, India has been badly exposed among the Nepali people. Also, those India influenced political leaders have also been badly exposed and they have been dubbed as the new Lendup Dorjes. Lendup Dorje, who played a major role for New Delhi for the annexing of Sikkim by India, died a dog’s death. Perhaps, the new versions of Nepali Lendup Dorjes in Nepal have not thought about their future after their betrayal of their motherland.
The Nepali citizens are all aware about what is happening in Nepal. The people have categorized those Indian puppet political leaders are known as NC-late Girija- formerPM, The traitor-Ramchandra Paudel, the culprit- Sherbahadur Deuwa, the agent- Krishna Sitaula, Narahari Acharya, UML-Madhab Nepal-PM, Jalanath, Bamdev, Khadga Oli. Subash Nembang (speaker), Now, the Maoist leader Prachanda is confused. But, the Maoist leaders Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Dinnath Sharma etc (almost 20-30) called as the traitors of the nation. It is clear that in spite of her huge investment in creating more dictators, the nationalist forces in Nepal are emerging at steadily against the Indian design.
The Nepali nationalism is blooming and the aroma of Nepali culture has permeated worldwide. Our nation is small, in spite of that; it is a home to various castes. Nepal, decorated with natural and cultural uniqueness, is the symbol of joint effort between the King and his people on nation building. Our nationalism cannot be safeguarded if any of the castes or the royal institution is suppressed. Nepal has adopted common culture as nationalism through agreement among various castes. The Nepalese culture is a creation of Hindu, Vedic and Buddhism entities. Our culture is the best in term of tolerance. Nepali language is established as a common language to keep over 50 mother languages alive. Nepali people will not back off from giving their lives to save these norms and identity of Nepal. If all the nationalist forces are united, the Indian dream cannot be fulfilled at any cost. For this, the Nationalist political leaders have to think and instead of trying to get Indian blessings to get to power, they should work to fulfill the people’s aspirations. We nationalists should take up the model of Bangladesh like in 1975, to save the nation from becoming Sikkim and against the foreign intervention, anti-nationalist and corrupt elements. I hope, UN and the democratic world should request the Indian leaders and Govt. not to disturb and intervene to the ‘Sovereign-Nepal.’
